SCERS Retirement Board Safety Election Results Are In
The final results in the election of one Safety Representative and one Alternate Safety Representative seat on the SCERS Retirement Board are now officially posted. Sacramento County Sheriff Sergeant Brandon Gayman won the Safety Representative seat, and incumbent Airport Fire Captain Christopher Giboney will retain his Alternate Safety Representative seat.
County Holiday Office Closure
In observance of Indigenous Peoples’ Day, SCERS will be closed on Monday, October 14, but will return to normal business hours on Tuesday, October 15.
Voting Period Added for SCERS Board Election
Sacramento County Employees’ Retirement System (SCERS) has been notified that approximately 1,300 eligible Miscellaneous Members did not receive a ballot for the current Member Election to elect One Miscellaneous Representative to the Board of Retirement for a term beginning January 1, 2025, and ending December 31, 2027. To ensure that all eligible members are afforded an opportunity to vote, an Additional Voting Period will be conducted. No ballots will be tabulated until the conclusion of the Additional Voting Period.
