Board Meetings

The SCERS Board holds public meetings monthly, generally on the third Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. Members assemble in person, with most meetings live-streamed. The first 15 minutes are reserved for public comment, and disability cases are handled in closed session.

Agendas, staff reports, and supporting materials are published one week in advance on this web page and also in the main lobby of the Park Tower Building at 980 9th Street, Sacramento, and the SCERS lobby on the 19th floor of the same building. Minutes and recordings are also made available, ensuring a transparent record of Board actions.

Committees of the Board—including Audit, Governance, and Investment Committees—also meet regularly to review detailed reports and provide recommendations to the full Board. These sessions allow trustees to focus on specific issues and bring informed recommendations back to the Board for action.

Regular meetings of the Retirement Board are held at a time and place set by resolution of the Board in accordance with Government Code Sections 54954, 54954.2 and 54954.3. Special meetings will be called by the President or a majority of the members of the Board as provided in Section 54956.
