Final election results for the SCERS Retirement Board are now officially certified.

Incumbent Miscellaneous Representative M. Tepa Banda retained his seat on the SCERS Board, receiving 63% of the votes, beating candidate Shelly Cortez who received 37% of the votes.

Mr. Banda, who joined the Board in December 2022, is the director of finance for the Sacramento Area Sewer District. His new term expires December 31, 2028.

This election cycle also included a race for one Retiree Trustee and one Alternate Retiree Trustee seat; incumbents Martha Hoover and Dave Irish ran unopposed and will retain their seats.
